What would you do if you were Mayor of Scandia?
If you were Mayor of Scandia, what things would you do to make living
in Scandia even better?
The winner will get to be “Mayor for a Day” and work with Mayor Maefsky!
Contest Details:
The essay must fit on one 8 ½” X 11” sheet of paper and be typed with 14 point font with normal (1”) page
margins in portrait layout. Also draw a colored drawing of an improvement you would make to Scandia on
another 8 ½” X 11” sheet of paper in portrait layout. Include your name and grade at the bottom of your
drawing. All entries will be laminated and displayed in Lilleskogen Park.
Submitting your Entry
Students may submit their entries by bringing them to Scandia Elementary School. Entry deadline is Friday,
May 21, 2021. The winner and New Mayor will be announced on Friday May 28 th.
