4. The Big Marine Park reserve located in ScandiaThe Big Marine Park reserve located in Scandia (owned by Washington County) has a playground area that
is approximately 190’ x 90’. Surface is mostly woodchips, with 2 areas of rubber matting – one small area under the
swing with high back and 5-point harness and a larger area near the “big kid” structure entrance. There are two areas at
the Big Marine Playground – one area advertised for ages 5 through 12 and one for kids younger than 5. Each area had a
large, continuous playground structure with several slides, tunnels and walking structures. The “little kid” area included a
small swing structure, the “big kid” area also included the swings, and two spring ride-ons. The “big kid area” also
consisted of a larger swing structure (including the high back swing), a rock-climbing structure, a large wire rope climbing
structure, and a track ride. Both large playground structures were manufactured by Little Tikes Commercial Play
Systems. The “big kid” playground equipment was advertised as the “SkyBuilders” play system.
