- Equipment that is ADA accessible. I’d like to see at least half of the pieces be ADA accessible.
- Teen and adult exercise equipment. This could be spread out around the community center and/or
have a centralized unit with multiple components
- Swings – traditional and ones where people can face one another and swing
- Components for children and adults who have sensory processing disorder or autism with sensory
issues
- Musical instruments (e.g., drums, chimes, xylophone) with a music book (suitable for outdoor use)
- Shade element that goes over the play equipment and sitting areas
- For little kids (2-5 years old) – a theme area (e.g., nature/environmental)
- Equipment that promotes balance, climbing, and problem solving (e.g., “rocks,” a “log” for a balance
beam)
- ADA accessible picnic tables
- Hand sanitizing station
- Volleyball net
- Basketball hoop
