3. Guidelines for the Protection of Scandia11 10 14As residents of Scandia, MN, we request the Tree Trimming Policy adopted by the City Council on October 16, 2012, be amended. The current Tree Trimming Policy states:  Remove trees and brush to allow for routine maintenance Amend to:  Remove trees and brush up to 8 feet from the paved road edge to allow for routine maintenance The current Tree Trimming Policy allows for arbitrary tree removal. There are a number of stately trees around Bone Lake (Lofton, 228th, 238th, Melanie Trail, Meadow Brook) that must be preserved under the Guidelines for the Protection of Scandia’s Priority Scenic Viewsheds (adopted by City Council May 15, 2012).
