Log House Landing
Lisa Schlingerman presented concerns to the City Council regarding unwanted late night activity at the
Log House Landing. Lisa asked that the landing be added to Ordinance 133 to allow enforcement of
parks rules. Lisa has contacted the National Park Service regarding signage.
The Council confirmed that enforcement is possible under existing ordinances and that it is not
necessary to use parks rules to address the concern. The landing is a platted road and open to public
use per state statute and existing case law. Applying parks rules would require closing the landing
overnight and would restrict valid use of the parking area.
Lisa has asked to be on the PRC agenda in June. Does the committee want to further address this issue?
