- My recommendation to PRC is that City Staff do a review of Township Records and
provide PRC with details on Park Capital Improvement Projects and documentation
regarding cost of each project. There may be capital improvement funds still
available for parks that City Council is currently unaware of. It is possible that Park
Dedication Fees were inadvertently moved to another account during the transition
from Township to City.
- In addition, we should make a request the City Council for an advance on Future
Park Dedication Fees. Based on past history, it would be reasonable to request up to
$30,000 be advanced to Park Capital Improvement Fund from General Capital
Improvement Fund. PRC would have specific projects and budgets prior to receiving
these advanced funds. The $30,000 number would be the cap on advances. This
approach would give the City the funds needed to complete much of the remaining
work at Lilleskogen.
