NOTICE OF SPECIAL PLANNING COMMISSION
MEETING TO CONDUCT SITE VISITS
NOTICE IS HERBY GIVEN that the Planning Commission of the City of Scandia,
Washington County, Minnesota, will hold a special meeting on Tuesday, September 7, 2021
beginning at 4:45 p.m. to visit the sites and gather information concerning the following
requests that will come before the Commission at its September 7, 2021 regular meeting:
• Variance from Development Code requirements to rebuild a non-conforming structure.
Site Visit Location: 16963 197th Street North
Applicant: Thomas and Angie Conley
On site at 4:45 p.m.
Driving instructions: From State Highway 95, travel east on 197th Street (also
known as Dinosaur Hill) and turn right at the ‘T’ at the bottom. The property is the
first house on the left.
• Variance from side yard setback requirements for an addition to an existing attached
garage
Site Visit Location: 12959 Mayberry Trail North
Applicant: Chris and Erica Sandstrom
On site at 5:10 p.m.
• Variance from rear setback requirements for an addition to the existing dwelling.
Site Visit Location: 19211 Meadowridge Lane North
Applicant: Brian Gunst
On site at 5:30 p.m.
This is an official Planning Commission meeting and is therefore open to the public. The
Planning Commissioners will meet at the site visit locations. Owners, applicants and interested
parties are also invited to meet at the sites.
