7.a Public Comments 3-6_Conley VarianceBrenda good morning. The purpose of this email is to provide support for the proposed home construction on the Conley property. The Conley family has demonstrated a passion and respect for the St Croix River and watershed. We believe they will adhere to all relevant building rules for this proposed project and continue to be a strong steward for the river. Thank very much, Tom and Laura Swain Hello Brenda. I am a neighbor of the Conleys two doors north. I am writing in support of their project to renovate their cabin on the river. It is necessary given the current state of their cabin (no foundation) and their changes are thoughtful and good for the community. If you need to reach me, I am at 651-248-3707. Melinda Maher To the Planning Commissioners and Council Members: As the adjoining property owner and neighbor on the north side of the Conley parcels, I have no objection to their proposed reconstruction project. Approval will increase their use and enjoyment of the property with little or no environmental, visual or neighborhood impacts. I thank you for your vigilance and concerns and recommend approval. Will Eginton 16930 197th Street North Dear Brenda, As a neighbor along 197th I'm writing in support of the Conley addition to their cabin. They are good stewards of the river and its habitat--getting guidance about their wetlands from the wetlands district and watershed district. And they have support from the National Park Service. Furthermore, in conversations with Angie I know they are working to get rid of the invasive buckthorn, which further attests to them caring about the river habitat and wanting to keep it healthy for our native flora and fauna. Their remodel/addition plans have the support of the Planning Commission and they have worked through all the proper channels to get the guidance they need for a more-usable and weather- sound cabin. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. Best wishes, Nancy Staub 16970 197th St N
