Re: Follow up on Vinterfest
Background:
This past year’s efforts to restore the Scandia hockey rink
Issue:
Regrets that we did not get to enjoy the hockey tournament this past Vinterfest festival. The
weather just would not permit the games to go on. Efforts are still on-going with the Public
Works crew to restore ice arena.
Proposal Details:
By next winter season of 2016 – 2017, I would like to continue restoration on the ice rink to
make the rink much more appealing and safer for the Hockey community and for general public
use every day. Hopefully we will be able to continue this endeavor. I do have some ideas for the
ice rink. I would like to see more reconstruction, especially on the boards, top rails and gate
openings. Appearance is a factor in my plans for the rink.
Issues on Lillyskogen will come next month. I would also like to hear the ideas that Public Work s
will be involved in.
