Wind in the Pines Park
Considered by the DNR to be one of the most diverse areas
of the county, this park contains remnant prairie and old
growth forest.

Adjacent Land Use:
Just south of the Falls Creek Scientific and Natural Area,
near agricultural and residential areas.

Issues:
• Create better (and safer) entrance for Wind in the Pines Park from Highway 95
Opportunities:
• Promote Wind in the Pines Park as premier nature preserve and scenic area
• Provide trailhead for (proposed) Pilar Road bicycle route
• Trailhead also serves as transition into Chisago Lake Township
