RE: Review and Recommendation regarding the City’s Draft 10-Year Capital
Improvement Program.
Each year, the City Administrator and Department Heads present a budget to the Capital
Investment Committee and City Council regarding the Capital Improvement Plan which serves as
part of the budget for the upcoming year. The Planning Commission is responsible for reviewing
the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) and making a recommendation to the City Council as it
relates to the 2040 Comprehensive Plan.
State Statute requires the Commission to review all proposed capital improvements within the
City and to prepare written findings to the City Council to support a recommendation for or
against consistency with the Comprehensive Plan.
A Resolution has been prepared for your consideration in support of approval.
