RE: Update on the December 2022 EDA Breakfast
The 4th Quarter EDA Breakfast will take place next Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at 8:00AM here
at the Scandia Community Center, 14727 209th Street N here in Scandia.
This month’s breakfast will be catered by Your Home Café. Food will be available for up to 25
guests. The event will include presentations from:
A profile of a Scandia local business, Hour Glass Oils, by owner Stephen Wizard
A presentation on behalf of the Forest Lake Area Chamber of Commerce by Executive
Director Nannette LaNasa.
Holiday door prizes available while supplies last.
I will be in at 7:00am to help with room setup. Depending on the number of attendees, I will need a
Commissioner to volunteer to assist with dishes.
County Commissioner Miron has confirmed his attendance and has indicated that Tyler Hilsabeck,
Washington County’s Business Advisor with the Open to Business Program (MCCD), will also likely
be in attendance. We also have confirmation from our presenters.
I would like to recognize the efforts of President Benson for handling practically all of the
arrangements for this event.

(Future events could consider making use of contacts available to the Economic Development
Association of Minnesota (EDAM) or perhaps an update on internet expansion efforts, particularly
in relation to brick and mortar and home businesses. I can also reach out to some colleagues that I
have worked with, if that is also adventurous to future program objectives.)
