Re: Annex & Fire/PW Roof Replacement Final Payment to Clearview Construction
Background:
At the July 20th meeting the council approved the roof replacement project for the Fire/PW & Annex
buildings. The total project cost approved was $ 115,119.00. Then on September 1st the council
approved an additional $26,047.87 for solar panel removal & re-install. The project is complete and
Clearview construction is requesting final payment for roof replacement in the amount of
$59,259.50. This is the amount approved with an additional cost of $800 for replacement of 4 roof
vents that were not able to be reused and approved by the Fire Chief. The contractor was able to
complete the project in a manner that limited the time that the solar system was not in operation,
which will save the city money when it comes to payment to Novel Energy.
Staff Recommendation:
Staff recommends approval of final payment of $59,256.50 to Clearview Construction. The
project was completed in a timely manner and is complete to our satisfaction.
