Ice Rink:
After a difficult weather pattern during the typical rink establishment timeframe the rink is now
open to the public. Public Works staff worked diligently during the cold mornings to build the
foundational ice before the sunny and warmer (20-30 degree) afternoons. The hired Zamboni
driver for this rink season reported he will not be able to work. Public Works staff will be filling
the roll and resurface the ice in the mornings moving forward. Public Works staff will also
manage the resurfacing during Vinterfest.
Donation Bench:
Public Works was contacted by the Jellum Family and will be donating a Memorial Bench in
honor of Vernon LeRoy Jellum. This bench will be installed in the Spring of 2022 after the
concrete pads are installed. This bench will take the place of the old wood bench near the
bridge. The bench with armrests and plaque have been ordered.
