DRAFT Minutes
Monday, December 13, 2021

Attendance: Commissioner Greg Amundson, President Heather Benson, Commissioner Brad Borg,
Commissioner Sue Dickens, and Vice President Mark Porubcansky, All in person.
Absent: None.
Also in Attendance: Executive Director Ken Cammilleri and Washington County CDA Economic
Development Director Chris Eng.
Call to Order – President Benson called the meeting to order at 6:38pm.
Approval of Agenda – Motion by Amundson, seconded by Dickens, to approve the agenda. Motion carried.
Approval of Minutes from the Board’s November 18, 2021 Meeting – Motion by Porubcansky, seconded by
Dickens, to approve the November 18, 2021 meeting minutes. Motion carried.
Director’s updates/financial report – Cammilleri reported that $240.00 was paid to Swenson Catering for the
EDA Breakfast back in October but that there was no financial activity in November. He reported that the
Cash Balance is at $27,463 and will increase with the final tax settlement of the year by $2,500.
Review of EDA Work Plan - The Commission reviewed the final draft and agreed to submit the plan to the
City Council for approval by unanimous consent.
Discuss of Partial Vacancy at the Prairie Restorations – Amundson reported that Prairie Restorations has
decided to halt their retail operations in Scandia, but will maintain their office and garages to continue to
operate their service division in Scandia. This now leaves the retail area of the building vacant and available
for rent. The Commission noted efforts should be made to fill this vacancy.
Items for future agendas – EDA Work Plan Implementation and Election of Officers
Next Board Meeting Date – Monday, January 10th at 6:30pm.
Adjournment – Motion by Borg, seconded by Dickens to adjourn at 8:07pm. Motion carried.
