NOTICE OF SPECIAL PLANNING COMMISSION
MEETING TO CONDUCT SITE VISITS
NOTICE IS HERBY GIVEN that the Planning Commission of the City of Scandia,
Washington County, Minnesota, will hold a special meeting on Sunday, February 27, 2022
beginning at 12:00 p.m. (noon) to visit the sites and gather information concerning the
following requests that will come before the Commission at its March 1, 2022 regular meeting:
• Amendment to an Existing Conditional Use Permit for a Conservation Memorial Forest
and an Interim Use Permit for temporary structures
Site Visit Location: 12630 Lakamaga Trail North.
Applicants: Better Place Forests
On site at 12:00 p.m. (noon)
• Conditional Use Permit for a Place of Worship at 23393 Nolan Avenue, and a Variance
for alterations to a nonconforming structure located within 200’ of the required setback
from Sea Lake.
Site Visit Location: 23393 Nolan Avenue North
Applicant: Roger Tomten on behalf of Bethany Center for Prayer and Renewal
On site at 12:45 p.m.
This is an official Planning Commission meeting and is therefore open to the public. The
Planning Commissioners will meet at the site visit locations. Owners, applicants and interested
parties are also invited to meet at the sites.
