Background:
Committee member White has requested this agenda item.
Issue:
Should the PRC host a teen dance during Taco Daze?
Proposal Details:
Committee member White has suggest the PRC sponsor a teen dance during Taco haze as a
fundraiser for Parks and Rec. The dance would take place on Saturday, September 7`1 at the
Community Center. The charge for attending the dance would be $10. White suggested a
community member could volunteer their time to DJ the event.
Options:
1) Gather more data and begin planning for the dance.
Items that would need further discussion include but are not limited to:
➢ Securing entertainment
➢ Advertising needs, distribution and funds
➢ Volunteers to chaperon event, collect money, set up the hall
➢ Decorating supplies or other supplies necessary to support the dance
➢ Start/End Time?
2) Decide not to pursue hosting a teen dance during Taco Daze.
Fiscal Impact:
More information is needed on music, supplies and advertising.
