SPRC Chair Report
1. City Council approved the Survey for Lilly with Mayor Randal and Jim voting against it.
2. Ross Brumfeld talked to the Council about vacating the easement by his business. He didn't have the
proper signatures required for it to be vacated. Sally was disappointed that it came up again years after
Matt, Alex, and she talked to Greg Benson. It was a dead issue in her opinion. The Council asked me
if PRC changed its mind and if it was needed or not. I told them it was still in the plans for the park
and was needed to join the trails as laid out in the Comp Plan. The Council took no action that night.
They can choose to ignore the petition when it has the correct signatures.
3. There will be a Sand Lake trail inaugural bike ride tentatively scheduled for June 1 ". It will start at the
Lion's Park Pavilion. Time to be determined. Tom Tripplet asked PRC to support it by getting the
word out. Since this is our last meeting before the ride, we won't be able to do much more. It will be
on the City web site. They can hand out any PRC literature left over from the Ironman. I would
encourage everyone to go.
