In 2008, SRF completed the Lilleskogen Park Restoration Plan and the City has completed a wetland delineation, installed a water control structure, and began clearing trails and the parking lot area. The Council approved having Landmark Surveying complete a site survey in April. At the April PRC meeting, Committee member Arnold reported on her conversation with Sarah Milligan-Toeffler regarding Lilleskogen and the need to develop a vision statement. Issue: What is the vision for Lilleskogen Park? Proposal Details: In the introduction of the Lilleskogen Plan , the committee may find some direction as to the vision for the park. It reads: "The restoration and development of Lilleskogen Park will enable residents of Scandia to have a park facility that can be better utilized by many different user groups. These groups include school children who may use the park as an educational and interpretive resource, and seniors and young families who desire to have a safe and accessible walking trail system to use in close proximity to where they live." Fiscal Impact: NA Options: The committee may consider parts or all of the first paragraph in the Lilleskogen Plan to help better define the vision for the park. Ideally, a vision statement would be a one -sentence statement that communicates the long term picture for the park.
