Council meeting
At the May 17th council meeting, the council okay ’ed ongoing conversations with the Bone lake
Association and the Forest Lake Comfort Lake Watershed District to discuss improvements to the Bone
Lake Park.
10,000 Acts of Kindness Award Ceremony
On May 21st, I attended the 1000 Acts of Kindness award ceremony at Lilleskogen park. Mayor Maefsky
read the stories and presented the awards to the kids. We presented a $200 check from the city of
Scandia to the classroom of Emily Stegmeir.
Park cleanup conversations
I have had multiple email conversations with the coach of the Forest Lake football team. He is excited
about getting some of his players over to Lilleskogen to help us with a park cleanup. At the June 6th
meeting we will review some of the date options for this effort. Most recently, the coach asked if we
could possibly do a weekday or a Sunday, in order to accommodate other schedules. For discussion. In
addition we will need to make some request for funds to make sure that the volunteers have food and
plenty of water for the effort.
