55 weeks’ worth of hunting complaints and poaching. After an exhaustive amount of hours (100+) spent
investigating there is zero evidence of the poaching occurring. The Sheriff’s Office is going to continue
working on this case till conclusion.
June 9th- DARE Graduation
Congrats to our Scandia 6th graders they all did an amazing job and I am really proud of all of their hard
work. They are going to do remarkable things in Middle School!
Meister’s Motorcycles-
Myself and our special enforcement team (SET) have increased patrols in the area of downtown and
Meister’s. Several bikes have been stopped and cited for moving violations. We will continue to focus on
this area this summer.
EDA Breakfast-
Thank you for allowing me to attend and speak at the EDA breakfast. I shared with them 10 helpful tips
for preventing fraud and beefing up their security. I will be sharing my resources with Ken to add to the
Scandia website for all to see.
Jake brake/ vehicle noise-
I have received increased complaint on the west side of town (Manning) with the increased construction
traffic and engine braking. I have dedicated several hours to enforcement of this and have not witnessed
or heard any engine breaking. Several trucks are accelerating into Forest Lake that are creating quite the
noise as they pass down the hill by Old Log Cabin however they are in the City of Forest Lake at this
point. I will continue to monitor hot areas for this and spread my time around the city enforcing this city
ordinance.
I will be back in town the first week of July after we are back from our Honeymoon in Hawaii!! Reach out
with comments, questions or concerns and I will get back to you as soon as I can. Thanks- Zach
