NOTICE OF SPECIAL PLANNING COMMISSION
MEETING TO CONDUCT SITE VISITS
NOTICE IS HERBY GIVEN that the Planning Commission of the City of Scandia,
Washington County, Minnesota, will hold a special meeting on Tuesday, July 5, 2022
beginning at 4:20 p.m. to visit the sites and gather information concerning the following
requests that will come before the Commission at its July 5, 2022 regular meeting:
• Conditional Use Permit to expand an existing Local Solar Energy System (SES) to 1,296
square feet
Site Visit Location: 23290 Quentin Avenue North
Applicant: Donna Pickard on behalf of property owners Randy and Kathy Ferrin

• Amendment to the Future Land Use Map to remove Mining Overlay designation from

Site Visit Location: West of Lofton Ave

• Variance to construct a deck within the 100-foot setback of Big Marine Lake and within
the required 20-foot sideyard setback from the east and the west property lines

This is an official Planning Commission meeting and is therefore open to the public. The
Planning Commissioners will meet at the site visit locations. Owners, applicants and interested
parties are also invited to meet at the sites.
