1. Review and Approve December Minutes
Approved: Schik/Kilgriff
2. Officer Nominations/Elections/Bylaws
Current officer appointments expire on January 31, 2007. Updates to the committee's
Bylaws will be made after the City Council's approval of maintaining the PRC. Anne noted
that the new Bylaws will not include the budgeting responsibilities, as the PRC has no official
authority on amounts allocated for park&recreational activities, only the City Council does.
3. Subcommittee Updates
*Recreation Programs 8s Events
A) Winter Festival
Deb shared City Council's approval for the Winter Community Party and the flyers that
will be distributed to Scandia Elementary School students.
B) Open Gym
Mike explained the specifics of the four approved Family Open Gym Saturdays (l/27, 2/3,
2/10 & 2/17). Details were included on flyer provided to all Scandia Elementary students.

4. Committee functions
PRC members should be prepared to discuss the two-page draft document provided for the
February 2007 PRC meeting. The City Council will have determined the number and type of
advisory committees during their second January 2007 meeting.

A)The City of Scandia Expense Reimbursement Policy(newly adopted on January 2, 2007)
was shared with the PRC.
