1. Aug 6, 2007 Meeting Minutes
Motion: Schik/Goeken (Unanimously approved)
2. Smith announced resignation of Ron Couture from Committee
3. Recreation Programs
a. Smith reported that McKelvey will present summary of summer programs and
winter schedule during Octobers meeting
b. Smith suggested organizing open gym again this winter, possibly with extended
numbers of dates. Goeken to follow up further
c. Also suggested possible tubing trip to Trollhaugen this winter, Smith to follow up.
4. Wind in the Pines (WIP) Park
a. Schik presented plans for discussion regarding WIP erosion control, and
connecting trails.
5. Other Committees
a. Comprehensive Plan: Schik reported that public meeting dates for discussion of
the updating the Plan have been set- Oct 20t" 9am, and Oct 23�d 6:30pm
b. Capital Improvements: Hurlburt provided an updated list of approved items for
the remainder of 2007 and 2008 spending. Lions have additional funds, looking
for options for spending. Harnetty suggested Committee submit proposal
through him for funding needs of the Committee. Discussed additional
fundraising options.
6. Taco Daze
a. Read summary of Dodgeball Tournament provided by Skupien and discussed
potential changes for next year.
7. New Business
a. Harnetty suggested creating a volunteer labor list for use in various
city/committee projects. Discussed needs and wants, Schik to help Hurlburt
develop.
b. New members: Committee recommends addition of 2 new members and 1 one
replacement member to PRC.
c. Smith recommended tabling New Site visits until Oct. meeting, Motion passed
8. Old Business
a. Schik will write RFP for wetland restoration of Lilleskogen
b. Goeken & Harnetty will check with school /district regarding use of soccer fields
