I have two follow-up comments/notes: 1. The CUP and AOP can be updated when those are renewed, reflecting that PID 170322 0210005 would no longer be within it. We will plan to reflect this change in the 2023 AOP. 2. There is another parcel just further to the east that is also designated ‘Mining’ in the Comp Plan and currently in the Mining Overlay that appears to be outside of the future mining areas – 21820 Lofton Avenue (see attached). Would the mine have any objections to a comp plan amendment and rezoning of that parcel in the future? We have no objections to rezoning the parcel associated with 21820 Lofton Avenue in the future. We have no objection to designating parcel ID 1703220210005 as ‘General Rural’ instead of ‘Mining.’ We would prefer the Conditional Use Permit and AOP for parcel ID 1703220210005 be terminated as part of this process. With that in-mind, we would still like to reserve the right to perform reclamation/future berm removal that might be needed to accommodate future development within the setback area on our property, as needed. Please let me know if you have any questions. Christina Morrison, P.G. The city received a request to amend the future land use map in the city’s comprehensive plan in order to designate parcel ID 1703220210005 as ‘General Rural’ instead of ‘Mining’. The parcel is shown as being within the boundary of the Dresel Mine site, though it has also been shown in recent AOP applications as being reclaimed and is outside of potential/future mining areas. I’ve included some attachments for reference Just wanted to confirm the applicant/landowner has discussed the request with the mine, and that the site is not planned for future mining activity.
