Subject: Support for Melinda Maher request for variances
To the Planning Commission of Scandia:
We write to urge you to approve Melinda Maher's request for variances
from setback requirements for the updates she proposes to her cabin and to
construct a garage on her property.
As Melinda's neighbors a few cabins north, we fully understand the need
to upgrade old buildings or add new structures in keeping with the
property in order to maintain safety and for good use. We know that
Melinda is a thoughtful steward of her land and cares deeply about the
natural environment of the river and shoreline. We trust her to follow
local, state and federal regulations as she proceeds with her project. We
support her project and hope that you will too.
