Bee was able to publish the survey materials in the Forest Lake Area Schools' Digital Backpack, as well as send out the survey link to parents that previously enrolled their child in City of Scandia-run skating lessons. The survey will remain open through this weekend and will close on Monday, November 7. Open House The Open House on October 19t" was a success! Many residents passed through the Community Center that evening, many of which offering helpful feedback and marking up the preliminary recommendations/trail ideation maps. A digitized, mapped compilation of the written feedback will be posted on the project website soon. Stakeholder Interviews Over the last few weeks, the MSA team has met with ten stakeholders from around Scandia: Susan Rodsjo (SHA), Sarah Porubcansky (BHA and TourismBoard), Robert Zuzek (Cycling Scandia, Gateway Trail Committee), Wayne Boerner (William O'Brien State Park), Susan Dickens (EDA and TourismBoard), Mark Lofstrom (Bone Lake Association), Ashley Maloney (Scandia Elementary), Lynette Welsch (Marine Lions Club), Peter Hilger (Architect for BHA's Water Tower Barn project), and Karen Scik (Friends of Scandia Parks and Trails). We believe that these stakeholders have provided a very beneficial range of insight into many facets of Scandia's parks and recreation, and have incorporated their feedback into specific park and trail recommendations.
