The Issue:
SRC acquired by Waste Management (WM)
City / SRC recycling contract expired end of 2022
WM will continue to provide recycling services
City’s current ordinances (Code Chapter 52, from
1970) must be updated
Technical assistance is available from Washington
County, but Council must determine basic approach
to trash and recycling services
