Please tell us about yourself:What experience would you bring that would demonstrate an understanding of the potential impacts, both positive and negative, of land development, i.e., environment, aesthetics, economics, community services, transportation, storm-water/drainage, parking, etc? 2. What motivated you to apply for the Planning commission and what do you hope to accomplish by your appointment? 3. What do you like best about the City of Scandia? 4. What is one thing that would make Scandia a better place to live? 5. Please identify what you feel are some key issues facing the city in the next 5-10 years. 6. Please explain your interests in serving on the Planning Commission. 7. Do you feel as a citizen of the community that you are able to provide objective recommendations on various land-use applications and other issues? 8. When working with others,what kinds of individuals or situation are most frustrating for you? How do you handle such individuals or situations? 9. What problem solving skills do you posses? 10. Are you able to see both sides of a proposal before making judgment on its merits?Give an example of your experience with this process. 11. The Planning Commission requires a commitment on the first Tuesday of each month, along with the potential of various workshops and attendance at off site visits, and long hours at these various functions.
