March 2013 Activity Report
O�erations and Administration
. There were 15 total calls in March.
. 5 Fire related.
. 10 EMS related
. 0 Dive related.
. FD spend is consistent with planned budget.
. SkyWarn training went well, we had about 25 residents attend.
. The order for the replacement of Engine 5180 has been placed. Current
estimates are that we would take delivery sometime in October.
. We received 2 severe weather sirens from Forest Lake. We have been working
with city staff on location options and connection.
. Applications have closed for volunteer firefighters, we received 6 applicants.
. We ordered a new commercial washing machine, this was needed in order for us
to comply with NFPA regulations on turnout gear care.
. We have had a group of firefighters donating their time working on up-fitting the
Polaris Ranger for wild land and rescue operations. We plan to have the project
done for the Lions Chicken Dinner, since the proceeds are going to this up fit.

Fire Drills, Rescue Drills, and Medical Traininq
. Fire Training:
■ SCBA/RIT refresher training.
■ SkyWarn severe weather training.
. Rescue Training:
■ New medical direction proto calls & run review, presented by
Regions EMS.
. Dive training:
■ Ice dive recertification.
