Review of Plan with MSA
On April 13, Anne and I met with MSA. Provided Anne’s and PRC’s feedback. We are expecting another
draft, one that hopefully we can approve as a committee on May 1 and take to the city council work
session on May 3.
Tentatively, after the discussion with Anne, the schedule looks like this:
Week of April 24 - Receive next update. This will be made available to the PRC as well as the
council to review.
May 1 - Discuss at PRC, approve the plan.
May 3 - Discuss Council work session. MSA and I can attend that session to discuss. If the
council is ok, move to the planning commission.
Jul 11 - Planning commission to review on July 11. (I am unavailable for the June planning
commission meeting).
July 18 – Seek council resolution to forward the plan to the Met Council
Future dates, final approval, i.e., adoption by the Met Council, tbd.
I am meeting with City Administrator Morell on Monday May 1 to discuss and verify timeline.

I set up the final round of penguin stories on a snowy April 16. I then informed Bee to create a post on
the city Facebook site.
Several of the stands need repair. The typical problem is a broken bottom closure on each of the stands.

I walked the west side trails on April 13. Water on that date was very high in the park. It extended to
the north boundary of the property.
The trails, as observed on the west side, are hard to distinguish and could use cleanup.
Earth Day Event
Greg and Heather hosted the Earth Day event at Hay Lake Pavilion. We surmise that attendance was
limited due to the cold weather. We agreed the idea and venue was worth trying again next year, as
social media interest was good. Greg later made the following comment, something to remember for
next year:
We made 15 feeders and used appropriately 1/2 jar of peanut butter (I'm guessing from
memory. Heather would have to verify). We'll get 25 - 30 feeders per jar. We probably will need
3 or 4 more jars if we make 100 of them.
Taco Daze and the Mike Lynch Starwatch event
On April 26, I presented the idea to the Lions to include the Starwatch event as part of Taco Daze on
September 9. The Lions Taco Daze committee was excited about this opportunity and good to go. We
can work it into the promotional materials (posters, social media) for Taco Daze.
Do we need to check with Mr. Lynch if is ok if we put his name and event on our materials?
Respectfully submitted,
Terry Gorham
