Re: Staff Report
• Promotional information for Festival Theatre's two camps for Scandia are posted on social
media and posters in the Community Center. Please request copies if there are locations
where PRC members would like to post this flyer.
• There have been zero submissions received for the Tomte Story Contest and the Internet
Story Contest. Application deadline is August 41". Staff will post on social media in June.
Open to other recommendations.
• Staff sent Wayne Erickson Memorial Ball Field letters for advertising banners requesting
$150 annual support to:
o Scandia Olde Towne Liquor
o Security State Agency
o Smilie's Sewer Service
o PN Products
o Security State Bank of Marine
o Forest Lake Floral/Roberts Family Funeral Home
o Scandia Heating and Air Conditioning
o First State Bank and Trust
The names bolded have already responded with 2023 support. Last year, advertising banners
were left up for Forest Lake Floral and First State Bank &Trust, but they did not send in support
funds. First State Bank and Trust has sent in support for 2023, but Forest Lake Floral's will be
removed if payment is not received by June 151". Staff has reached out to Midco via email as they
need to replace their damaged dasherboard in the skating rink,asking if they would like to expand
to advertise in the ball field also. But if there are other letters PRC members would like sent to
other businesses, please provide as much contact information as possible. Staff will send a "how
to support the ballfield via advertising banner" letter to all suggestions.
