Dear Mr. Doerr:
We are enclosing the following information to accompany the request
for a septic permit for the Fred Riermann property on Maxwill Ave. in Section"
21, New Scandia Township.
1 - Township map showing the location of the property.
2 - Drawing showing the location of the builicing site, percolation
tests and soil boring location.
3 - Percolation test results.
4 - Soil Boring Log.
Because of the heavy clay soil generally found in this area, I re-
commended to Mr. Riermann that he engage the services of someone with a
power auger rig, or a small tractor backhoe to check the soil prior to
determining the location for a sewage drainfield system. A backhoe was
used, and several test holes did reveal a heavy clay soil close to the
building site. However, an area was located, as shown on the enclosed
sketch, where suitable soils were encountered and the enclosed percolation
tests were made in this area. The excavation made by the backhoe, shown
as soil boring location will be left open for your inspection if you so
desire.
