Public Works Staff Report — November 2018
❖ Uptown: New aerator quit working, new one installed and is running great — under warranty and
only have to pay for shipping. Billing for the unit did not represent the warranty and is being
addressed.
❖ AE 201— system is running fine.
❖ Bliss 201— Pump capacities were re -calculated which is a best practice measure. We had some
inconsistencies with one station that we will measure again shortly. There are some possible
check valve issues in pump station #4 and #3. #3 check valves were replaced last year. Staff is
checking to see if there is a warranty.
❖ Bliss 201— Lift station #2 alarms from 4.5" rainfall — High level alarm - I&I
❖ Poles for Alert siren and SCADA / Radio communications — weather cracked / checked and
should be considered in the 2019 capital budgeting process
❖ Sludge judging and pumping of systems in need of service has been completed
❖ Testing and data recording to MPCA and Washington Co. continue
