Approval of Minutes
1.- Minutes from December 2009 were not complete at the time of
the meeting and were therefore not approved.
Tubing Event
2.- Anne reported that the event at Wild Mountain was cancelled due to
weather (subzero temps). Only 23 had signed up, mostly family of Parks and Rec
committee members. After some discussion, it was decided that the event would likely
not be proposed next year.
Lilleskogen-
3. Alex reported that tree saplings had been ordered, the species of which were
chosen per the plan.
Staffing
4.- Anne reported that a few inquiries had been made regarding the open Program
Director position, but none appeared to be serious.
City Council-
5. Alex reported that there was no opposition at the latest Council meeting to
the proposed Vinterfest plans.
a.Vinterfest- The committee made further plans and a few action items:
b.Sally to get permission from Elim for use of the sled hill;
c.Joan to create poster for indoor activies
d.Joan to provide hay bails
e.Joan to write press release
f.All to look for marshmallow sticks and spray bottles
Open Gym
6.- Mike reported that the PTO and FLAA have provided donation checks, and
that we are still awaiting funds from the Lions and Scandia Elder Care. Joan volunteered
to contact the Lions, while Matt indicated he would get in touch with SEC. Mike also
volunteered to send out the staffing schedule via email.

7.- Nothing to report.
Friends of Scandia Parks
8.- Karen notified the group that the next meeting would be
January 21, and solicited ideas for potential group projects.
