RE: Proposed Improvements to the Façade Improvement Program
The memo is intended to introduce to the EDA some ways in which we may be able to
improve upon our façade improvement program.
First, I recommend we promote this program on the City’s website and during our Business
Retention and Expansion (BR&E) Visits.
Second, there are a variety of opportunities to improve this program. I have included a copy
of Northfield’s program that should serve as an example of how to better present and
structure our progam and proceedures. I also particularly like that requires a contractual
agreement.
Finally, I would include a map identifying the eligible areas of the City.
