Re: 2016 Budget
Background:
The City Council will be starting the budget process soon. The EDA should begin thinking
about their 2016 budget request so it can be presented to the Council with the other departments.
No revenue budget has been included in your packet because the only source of new funds for
EDA at this point in time is planned to be tax levy dollars.
Issue:
What budget is the EDA requesting for 2016?
Proposal Details:
I’ve included a draft budget in your packet. At this time there are no expenses shown for 2016.
I’m anticipating the EDA checking account will have over $5,000 at the end of the year. If the
past two years are any indication, this fund balance would cover 2016’s small amount of
operating expenses (i.e. Chamber membership, fees for Chamber functions, etc) and still allow
for a few thousand dollars of new expenses.
Are there other projects the EDA should request funding for in 2016?
