5. Update on Sign Ordinance – At its November meeting the City Council approved
changes to the Sign and Lighting Ordinances. In the documents the changes are highlighted.
The significant changes are allowing internally lit signs in all districts of the City, allowing the
use of LED lights in signs, and allowing 2 off-premise signs at 5 key intersections in the City and
within the Village Mixed Use Districts
6. Gateway signage – MN 97 / Oakhill Road / Lilleskogen Park – The intersection of MN
97 and Oakhill Road was designated as one of the intersection where off-premise signs would be
allowed.
7. Review zoning districts in MN 97 to Olinda corridor – Maps of the 97 corridor along
with a summary of the current uses in each zoning district is provided. Also provided are the
stated purposes for each of the type of permits that are applicable to the various uses.
