NOTICE OF SPECIAL PLANNING COMMISSION
MEETING TO CONDUCT SITE VISITS
NOTICE IS HERBY GIVEN that the Planning Commission of the City of Scandia,
Washington County, Minnesota, will hold a special meeting on Tuesday, August 3, 2021
beginning at 5:45 p.m. to visit the sites and gather information concerning the following
requests that will come before the Commission at its August 3, 2021 regular meeting:
• Variance from Development Code requirements for additions to two non-conforming
structures.
Site Visit Location: 21795 St. Croix Trail North
Applicant: Lucas Alm, on behalf of property owner Carol Sundberg
On site at 5:45 p.m.
Driving instructions: Access to the property is a ¾-mile gravel private
drive across from the barn on State Highway 95, going down to 5 homes
on the river. The subject property is the last cabin on the LEFT, just
past the railroad tracks.
• Variance from Development Code requirements to replace and expand an existing deck
located within required setback areas.
Site Visit Location: 23375 Lofton Avenue North
Applicant: Alissa Pier, on behalf of property owners Tom Furey and Mary Kenning
On site at 6:15 p.m.
This is an official Planning Commission meeting and is therefore open to the public. The
Planning Commissioners will meet at the site visit locations. Owners, applicants and interested
parties are also invited to meet at the sites.
