Re: Conley’s Proposed Cabin Rebuild

My name is Don Wheatlake and I am writing in behalf of the Wheatlake family whose
property borders on the south of the proposed Conley cabin rebuild project. This
summer TJ and Angie Conley shared with us their desire and future plans of rebuilding
their family cabin. We believe reconstructing their cabin so that it is on a firmer, deeper
foundation, and is insulated and updated for year-round use is a wise choice. The
Conley’s are kind and caring neighbors who have gone to great lengths to stabilize and
beautify their existing landscape and riverbank and wetlands. They truly love their river
property and have been environmental stewards of their property. In fact, they have
even shared plant cuttings so we could improve and stabilize our riverbank as well. We
are confident they will masterfully address all topography, wetland, and storm
water/runoff issues and will address all requirements of the National Park Service, the
Wetlands District and the Carnelian Watershed District. We are excited for the Conley
family to be able to upgrade their property for additional months use and enjoyment
year-round and fully support their desire to rebuild and improve their property.
