Wednesday, June 15, 2022 from 8:00am to 9:00am – The EDA Business Breakfast
This quarter’s Breakfast will have a presentation on internet business fraud prevention from
the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and an update on progress at Rustic Roots Winery.
The business community is encouraged to attend! Breakfast catered by Our Home Café.
(This event time conflicts with the Forest Lake Area Chamber’s Coffee and Connections
Activity/ It also conflicts with the meetings at the Washington County CDA. So, this event
will be scheduled differently for the September Scandia EDA Breakfast.)
Tuesday, June 28, 2022 from 8:30am to 9:30am - Join the Economic Development
Association of Minnesota (EDAM) for its monthly Coffee and Connections virtual get
together.
Join EDAM’s monthly get together to discuss development with public and private sector
economic developers. It’s a great way to learn about how development is approached
around the state of Minnesota and Metro Area. Registration is free and even though the
EDA is a member, this event is free and open to all. To register visit:

Monday, July 25, 2022 – The 35th Annual Forest Lake Chamber of Commerce Golf
Tournament and Banquet.
Although this is not a free event, this fundraiser is an important activity that supports the
Chamber, but is also a great opportunity to network, play golf, or to simply attend the

on Monday, June 27th. Remember the EDA is a member and that there may still be
volunteer opportunities, but follow-up with Nannette if you are interested.

Other Upcoming Events of Interest
October 11 - 13, 2022 – the 2022 Minnesota Broadband Conference hosted by the Blandin
Foundation with support from the Minnesota Office of Broadband Development
This event, which has a $120 registration fee, will be held at the Mille Lacs Grand Casino in
Hinckley, Minnesota over 3 days. The event is intended as a way for communities to come
together and address the State’s rural broadband deficiencies. More information on the
